Today's Doctors Visit and Africa

Well Miss Peanut is actually 2 pounds 4 oz. King babies are ALWAYS big!! I have had the shots to promote her lungs so they were actually reflecting 28 weeks on the measurements. Which is a week older than what she is! So that is good. And the doctor was very happy because my body was the same. I had not progressed any further since last week!!!!! Hallelujah!! Keep up the prayers

God is Good!!

I talked to my dad and he has arrived safely in Africa. He is with Phil Jones and will keep us posted!! I was very glad to hear his voice and know that he was safe on the ground. I was able to tell him the good news from the doctor. I think it really put his mind at ease. I assured him that I would be good while he was gone!!! No dancing or horseback!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE

It was early....but they wanted to send you a birthday wish before they left for their Co-op class!! Happy birthday Uncle!! We love you very much!!

Chocee LOVES dum dum's

Charis and Grady went to a birthday party yesterday for their sweet friend Rebekah!! They had a wonderful time and I am so grateful to the Moore family for taking them! As with most parties they came home with their bags of candy...and left them on the floor. Chocee likes dum dum's!!

The Grand Adventure - Poppy travels to Africa

Well when my kids were little they would always say, "Mommy lets go on a grand adventure!" Even if we were just going to the back yard. So, Poppy is on a grand adventure! For those that don't know, my dad is going to Africa. He came by yesterday before leaving to borrow a suitcase....hum. He was leaving that day. Can we say delayed packer! Anyway, the kids were playing around and got in the suitcase and said take us with you Poppy! Charis was laughing and playing but Grady was not. He would not get out of the suitcase. So dad had to pick him up and he just melted into him.... He's doing better today! Dad called this morning to let me know that his flight into Amsterdam had been late arriving. A lady was having a panic attack and would not let a man look at her so they had to get a women to attend to her. (this is the kind of stuff that would only happen to my dad!!) Then they told her that she had to get off the plane. She refused, so they had to get a women pilot to come tell her to get off the plane. By then they were too low on fuel for the flight, so they had to go refuel... Needless to say they missed their flight to Entebbe. Which, only flies out once a day. So they put him and 10 others up in a hotel. I said, "Go take some pictures!!" He said, "After all of this I am just staying right here at the hotel! " I don't blame him! Anyway he should be arriving in Entebbe tomorrow!!

The Motorcycle

Well.......I was NOT in favor of this one. But, I got out voted! My mom and husband conspired and got Grady a motorcycle for his birthday. It is electric, but it still goes pretty fast. It was the motivation that he needed to learn to ride his bike with no training wheels. Boy was Nonnie surprised to come home to see Charis and Grady riding their bikes with no training wheels and the MOTORCYCLE!! It has been fun for them. Don knew not to let me see them until they were not falling anymore. Talk about make you go into labor! That would have done it!

Time with Poppy

My kids love their grandparents! They are SO SO blessed to have 4 healthy, wonderful grandparents. They also have my grandparents. So they are surrounded with generations of love. While my mom was in Israel and Turkey we did something different for Friday nights. They usually have Fridays with Nonnie and Poppy. Well...Nonnie was across the world and they both had to be at soccer early on Saturdays. So, we had camp outs.....well almost! The classroom is currently relocated down stairs so we turned it into the camp ground. Grady's Pappaw and MiMi (Don's parents) gave him a tent for his birthday. We just didn't realize how big it was before we said we would set it up.....inside!

The Soccer Teams

Charis and Grady both have precious teams. Grady has his buddy Hunter Woodman on his team. Which is so much fun! Charis has her buddy Grant that she went to Bracken with and some other really sweet kids on her team. They are having a great time and really learning from their coaches. We have been so blessed by the love and attention of both of their coaches. They are awesome dads with amazing hearts for kids and extremely patient!

Visit to the doctor

Today I saw my OBGYN. She said the baby looks great so that was encouraging. My preterm labor situation was not any worse...but it also wasn't any better. So, she basically said bed rest until Peanut comes. Every other week I will see her and the opposite week I see the perinatologist. She is wanting 8 more weeks for the baby, but said she would take what she could get. 34 weeks is a much safer gestational age than 26! I am praising God that things did seem to slow down this week and did not progress as much as last week. I am so thankful to have my mom and brother home and that my father in law seems to be doing much better!! God is good! I am blessed to have school with my kids in the mornings. They are enjoying couch and bed schooling!! And I am really enjoying kindergarten and first grade! Today, the kids (and I) learned Jeremiah 33:3. Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. I just love that verse. It really spoke to me.

Amazing guard dogs!!

They do an amazing job keeping critters out of our yard!

Charis and Grady at Soccer

Well both kids are doing soccer. It is a little crazy with two practices, two games and one mommy on bed rest. I was so excited when they came in from Saturday's games. They had both scored for the FIRST TIME!!! It was a very exciting day also because their Nonnie and Uncle had just gotten back at midnight the night before from Israel. Grady turned around at his 9:00am game to see them standing there and was in total shock. Nonnie and Uncle are troopers!
